As usual, Apple will soon stop signing iOS 8.1 for all iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Fortunately iOS 8.1 is still available for all users who have updated to iOS 8.2 and is accessible to developers. When iOS 8.1 is stopped by Apple, then it will be impossible to return in that iOS version of iOS. Luckily right now iOS 8.1 is still signed by Apple.

iOS 8.1.1 fills the exploited gaps to allow the iOS to be jailbroken. Sure you are eager to unleash your iDevice from restrictions, therefore you must be on iOS 8.1 to take advantage!

In this post you will be guided to downgrade from iOS 8.2 or iOS 8.1.1 iOS 8.1 and the procedure is relatively simple, here's how.

Step 1. Download iOS 8.1 for your device. To do this go to the page of the download center.

Step 2. Connect your iDevice to your computer and launch iTunes.

Step 3. While keeping down the Shift (Windows) or Alt (OS X), click the button "search for updates" in iTunes.

A window will be opened, point to the iOS 8.1 firmware you previously downloaded in step 1. Confirm the update to iOS 8.1.

Step 4. iTunes starts to update your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. Wait. When you find yourself on the home screen of your device, you are running iOS 8.1!
